This summer, don't lose your brain
Each summer, the average American student loses approximately two months of learning. Lack of exposure to reading and other intellectual activities during summer vacation is the primary reason students from high-income household outperform their low-income counterparts in reading and in math. Beat the achievement gap by participating in summer programs that are demanding and that satisfy your interests and curiosity. Below are a few suggestions. Please email Girelle at girelleguzman@gmail.com if you would like to participate in any of these programs listed.
